“Do you want to be healed?”
—John 5:6
Often we seek quick fixes that offer temporary relief but leave us feeling incomplete. Naturopathic medicine recognizes that true health is more than the absence of illness — it’s the experience of full physical, mental, and emotional vitality. At Columbus Naturopathic Medicine, we honor this holistic design by combining supportive health practices with timeless wisdom to understand who we are, why we suffer, and how we heal.

You don’t have to manage your health alone
Fatigue? Depression? Pain?
We don’t heal in isolation, we heal in community. Whether you’re facing stress, chronic disease, or a season of transition, naturopathic care addresses the fundamental building blocks of health — including nutrition, movement, sleep, relationships, identity, purpose, and meaning — to target the root cause of illness.
Our Naturopathic Approach
Naturopathic medicine doesn’t suppress symptoms — it listens to them. At Columbus Naturopathic Medicine, we support your body’s ability to self-heal through two key steps:
Identify and remove factors that interfere with health—such as processed foods, environmental stressors, or harmful coping patterns.
Add and reinforce habits that strengthen health, including proper nutrition, sleep, movement, and meaningful connection.
By examining all factors that influence your health — both supportive and disruptive — we can maximize your body’s innate ability to be strong, balanced, and healthy.

Naturopathic Consultations
Leah Gusching, a naturopathic doctor in Columbus, Ohio, offers personalized, holistic consultations — available in person and virtually worldwide.
During each session, Dr. Leah takes time to get to know you — your values, personality, lifestyle, and health history. She will help you uncover the root cause(s) of your concerns, support healing on every level, and reconnect with your God-given capacity for meaning, purpose, and connection.
Functional lab testing may be recommended to provide deeper insight and inform a personalized plan for supporting health. Recommendations may include lifestyle therapies, spiritual practices, herbal medicine, homeopathic remedies, detox support, or natural supplements as needed.
Initial Consultation (90 min) – $175
Before your first visit, you’ll complete an online intake form. The initial consultation allows time for a thorough discussion of your health history, current concerns, and future goals.
Follow-Up Consultations (50 min) – $150
Follow-up visits are typically scheduled 2–4 weeks after your initial appointment to support your ongoing progress. The goal is to help you experience vibrant, lasting health. Some patients prefer continued care, while others focus on a specific goal and conclude once it’s met. Follow-ups include regular check-ins to review your progress and adjust your plan as needed.
What to Expect in Our Work Together
-
Exploring Values: Aligning Meaning & Purpose
Our values and self-worth establish how we move through life. When tied to shifting cultural ideals, we can lose touch with who we truly are. Scripture provides a steady foundation, reminding us that our identity and purpose are rooted in God’s design — not the changing standards of the world.

-
Exploring Habits: Holistic Lifestyle Counseling
Our daily habits reflect our values. Through lifestyle counseling, we examine the rhythms that shape your days — how you rest, nourish, move, and relate with others. We explore ways to make them consistent with your values, inviting a deeper sense of intention into how you conduct your life.
-
Exploring Patterns: Restoring Balance Naturally
After exploring your values and habits, we help restore balance using a combination of homeopathy, herbal medicine, lifestyle modifications, counseling, and structural support. Each approach is tailored to your unique make-up to gently support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Naturopathic care is for anyone seeking a holistic, root-cause approach to health. It often draws people who have tried multiple approaches to their health without lasting results. It is helpful for maintenance care, and for addressing long-standing health concerns.

Faith-based care recognizes that true health extends beyond physical, mental, and emotional vitality. It is based on the understanding that our identity, purpose, and meaning all stem from God’s design for our lives, eternally.
Most physicians ignore the role of faith in your life and wellness. Dr. Leah believes naturopathic medicine honors this design and draws on timeless biblical wisdom to understand who we are, why we suffer, and how we heal.
It is not necessary to have a faith background to benefit from faith-based care. All are welcome — especially those of different faith backgrounds, those who have left their faith, or have none at all.
